J'inaugure la section VO avec un auteur que j'affectionne particuliérement (et j'en remercie l'amie qui me l'a faite découvrir) : Karen Marie Moning et sa série Fever connue ici sous le titre des Chroniques de Mackayla Lane

Ce livre est le premier de la série et souffre de la malédiction des numéros 1, il met les éléments en place, présente les personnages et le moins qu'on puisse dire que le côté TSL de Mac surprend mais Jericho, c'est une autre histoire.

Un roman qui commence là où se finit le précédent. On en apprend un peu plus, voyons l'évolution de Mac ...

Un ton résolument plus sombre, on entre dans l'action. Mac n'est plus la jeune évaporée des débuts bien qu'un peu casse-cou et sa relation avec Jericho évolue enfin ... mais le cliffhanger est cette fois-ci INSUPPORTABLE

après avoir lu le premier, je n'avais pas trop envie d'enchaîner sur les suivants... une héroïne qui se la joue Reese Whiterspoon dans la "la blonde a pris du ventre" m'a très vite ennuyé... Heureusement il y avait le personnage de Jericho nettement plus intéressant.

Mais j'avoue que la suite de vos critiques m'a donné envie d'en savoir plus, surtout si tu me dis que l'héroïne ne nous fait pas du "j'ai décidé d'aller chez Yves St Laurent après avoir abandonné Versace"...

TSL = Too Stupid to Live

Oops pardon, c'est une habitude prise sur Blue parce que je ne savais ce que c'était avant non plus lol Domino a répondu. En fait Mac passe de la blonde évaporée à la guerriére.

Elle reste très impulsive même dans le quatrième tome! Quand elle saute dans un des miroirs...je me suis dit que ca allait forcément compliquer son retour et le boulot de Jericho!

Mais bon, elle s'améliore grandement.

Moi j'ai adoré dans ce quatrième tome la manière dont elle se retrouve avec un corps musclé, fin et aminci!!!

En même temps, c'est ce qui fait son charme. Je n'aurai pas aimé qu'elle devienne trop sérieuse et réfléchie.
Ah et euh ...moi aussi ! J'adore leur façon de combattre le mal par le mal!

Non pas cochoncetés! C'est un médicament, ca devrait être remboursé par la sécurité sociale!

Le premier est sortie depuis quelques temps sous le titre Fièvre noire, chez J'ai lu. Le second ne devrait plus tarder ... mais là je ne suis pas certaine, je ne suis pas attentivement les parutions françaises

Le deuxième tome fièvre rouge est sortie il y a quelques semaines au Québec. Le tome 3 devrait paraître d'ici la fin de l'été. C'est vrai que l'action commence avec le tome 2! Et j'espère que cela va continuer dans cette lignée.
